Bareilly, UP – May 29, 2025: A Customer Service Centre (CSC), also known locally as a Jan Suvidha Kendra, allegedly run by a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was raided by police following a tip-off from Army Intelligence regarding the production of fraudulent documents. The accused, identified as Mukesh Deval, reportedly fled the scene during the operation.
Police have registered a case against Deval and initiated a manhunt. Significant quantities of fake Aadhaar cards, Ayushman cards, high school (10th) and intermediate (12th) marksheets, driving licenses, and other counterfeit documents were allegedly being produced at the CSC.
Intelligence Tip-off Leads to Raid
Circle Officer (CO) II Ajay Kumar stated that the Lucknow unit of Army Intelligence provided information that Mukesh Deval, son of Pauthiram and a resident of Maheshpur village in Bareilly’s CB Ganj area, was operating a “Janseva Kendra” and “Lok Vani Kendra” (types of CSCs) from his premises. The intelligence suggested that this center was involved in creating a wide array of fake documents.
“Acting on the intelligence, a joint team of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and CB Ganj police station raided the Customer Service Centre (CSC) run by Mukesh Deval,” CO Ajay Kumar informed.
Accused Flees, Incriminating Materials Seized
As the police team conducted the raid, the accused, BJP leader Mukesh Deval, managed to escape by entering his house connected to the shop.
However, the police seized a substantial cache of documents and equipment from the center. According to CO Kumar, the recovered items include:
- 27 fake Aadhaar cards
- 1 PAN card
- 1 Voter ID card
- Various other documents including a large number of Aadhaar cards, Voter IDs, and PAN cards.
- Printing equipment and materials used for creating the counterfeit documents.
“A case has been registered against the accused Mukesh Deval, and efforts are underway to locate and arrest him,” CO Ajay Kumar added. “He will be apprehended soon.”
The raid highlights concerns over the misuse of such Customer Service Centres (CSCs) for illegal activities. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the full extent of the alleged racket.
