Indo-Pak tensions: On the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has made a serious allegation against Pakistan for worsening the situation. Read what Omar Abdullah said about Pakistan…
Omar Abdullah Accuses Pakistan of Escalating Tensions
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has accused Pakistan of worsening border tensions, urging Islamabad to “silence its guns.” His statement comes amid rising hostilities between the two nations.
Failed Drone Attack on Jammu City
Abdullah highlighted that Pakistan recently attempted a drone strike on Jammu city—a rare escalation since the 1971 war. However, Indian security forces successfully neutralized all drones before they could cause damage.
“Pakistan targeted civilians in Jammu, but our forces intercepted every drone. Such an attack on Jammu hasn’t happened since 1971,” he said.
Pakistan’s Failed Strike on Anantnag Ammo Depot
Pakistan also tried targeting an ammunition depot in Anantnag, Kashmir, but Indian troops foiled the attack. Abdullah emphasized that Pakistan’s aggressive moves are only worsening the situation.
“Pakistan Provoked, India Responded”
The CM stated that India’s actions were defensive, following the Pahalgam terror attack where innocent civilians were killed.
“We didn’t start this. Pakistan is escalating tensions, but it will gain nothing. They should stop firing now,” he warned.
Indian Military on High Alert
The Indian Army has heightened vigilance along the Line of Control (LoC), vowing a strong retaliation against any further provocations.
