Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India has urged the policyholders to link their Permanent Account Number (PAN) with insurance policies. Customers can complete the formality through the official website of the company from the comfort of their homes. The central government has extended the deadline to link the PAN with insurance policies till 31st
The central government is continuously focusing on linking PAN to eliminate bogus accounts and toughen the financial system.
To link the PAN with your LIC policy, the following details will be required-
- LIC Policy Number
- PAN Card
- Email Id
- Mobile Number
Steps to link PAN with your LIC Policy
Here is the stepwise procedure to link your PAN with your LIC policy-
Visit the Official website of LIC by clicking on the link https://licindia.in/
Select the “Online PAN Registration” button on the homepage and press “Click here”.
Click on the “Proceed” button on the “Online PAN registration” page.
Enter the date of birth as per PAN, Gender, Email id, PAN, Full name as per PAN, Mobile No., and Policy number. You can add all your policies in the form to link PAN with all your policies in one go.
Tick the declaration to provide consent to link your PAN with all your LIC policies and for E-KYC purposes.
Enter Captcha and press the “Get OTP” button to get the OTP for verification.
Upon receipt of OTP, enter it on the portal and press the “Submit” button.
Upon successful completion of the above steps, the page will show a window stating that “Request for PAN Registration received”.

Enter your LIC policy number, date of birth, and PAN number.
Later, enter the captcha code and press the submit button.
The system will show whether PAN is registered in LIC’s system against the said policy number.
